About Me

Hello All!

My name is Amanda and I am a photographer, artist, jewelry designer, Pinterest addict, and Etsy Store owner. Here is a short bio someone wrote about me:Amanda

Born in a sleepy Connecticut town, Amanda grew up with a knack for creativity and a love for photography. Over the years, she honed her craft before attending Eastern Connecticut State University where she took several courses in photography and majors in Psychology. In 2012, Amanda got her first professional job in her chosen field as an on-set photographer for the independent film “Sensory Perception,” starring Corbin Bernsen and “Diamond” Dallas Page. Continuing to develop her talent and passion for photography, Amanda now has an official website and Facebook page. She has experience photographing landscapes, portraits, and wildlife. With an undying love for photography, Amanda is quickly making a name for herself as a passionate young woman with the courage to chase her dreams.

~ I am a very outgoing, caring, patient, and loving person who loves spending her days working with children (I work at a educational daycare facility), photographing nature/portraits/animals, and doing DIY crafts. My friends have said you can always find me with my nose in a good book or outside hiking with my boyfriend. I love nature with my favorite seasons being spring and fall when the temperature is just right and the world is full of color. I’m also very passionate about supporting Special Olympics, Autism Speaks, and Down Syndrome Awareness. Growing up with a sister diagnosed with Down Syndrome had its bumpy moments but I am blessed to have her in my life. She has taught me to appreciate what I have, love others no matter their differences, and remember to always use my imagination! She is a true blessing!

~ I have been taking photographs since I got my first camera in the late 90’s and fell in love with it. In the past two years I have worked to hone my skills (both behind the camera and in the editing department) and have begun to sell my work. I make cards out of my prints and provide themed card packs (look HERE) for Christmas, Valentines day, everyday cards, etc. I have also started designing jewelry. I make necklaces and bracelets for children and adults (look HERE). I am also a bit of an antique nut. I LOVE going to flea markets, tag sales, and consignment shops to see what hidden treasures I can find. If I find something I feel another person may fall in love with I post it for sale (look HERE)! I seem to do a little bit of everything! On top of all of that I love to hike. My boyfriend and I try to go on a few major hikes every summer and I always bring my camera. When I get back I write a blog about our trip and supplement it with the photographs I took. I post these blogs on my site here, on a local CT blog site (HERE), and I share them on Facebook. In the future I hope to compile all these hiking write-ups to design a Hiking in Connecticut book to sell to other local hiking enthusiasts!

~So overall I am a friend, childcare worker, artist, jewelry designer, photographer, hiker, antiques hunter, and a writer.

Who knows what I’ll do next!
